These terms govern your use of The Bite Reports ("we," "us," the "service") at thebitereports.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

What The Bite Reports Is

We provide two-week crappie fishing outlook reports for the states and lakes we cover, based on weather, water temperature, spawn timing, and other conditions. These reports are informational only. They are not a guarantee of fishing success — conditions change, and nothing about fish behavior is certain.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, and be able to receive text messages at a valid U.S. phone number to create an account.

Account & Login

We use your phone number and a one-time passcode sent by text to log you in — there's no password to manage. You're responsible for keeping access to your phone number secure, since that's how your account is verified.

Text Messages (SMS)

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive a one-time passcode text message each time you log in. We do not send recurring or marketing text messages. Message and data rates may apply. For help, contact us using the information below.

Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose, and cover one or more states at the prices shown on our pricing page.
• New subscriptions include a 30-day free trial. A payment method is required up front, and you'll be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
• You can cancel anytime from "Manage Billing" on your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access through what you've already paid for, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time.
• We may change our prices from time to time; if we do, we'll give you notice before it affects your next billing cycle.

Your Trip Log Content

If you log trips, that information belongs to you. We store it so you can view your own history, and we don't use it to generate reports or share it with anyone else.

Acceptable Use

Please don't share your account access with people outside your household, attempt to scrape or resell our reports, or otherwise misuse the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

No Guarantees

The service is provided "as is." We work hard to make our reports useful, but we don't guarantee their accuracy, and we're not liable for how a fishing trip turns out. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
